Sunny Puerto Rico

Nice weather in Gran Canaria in November with temperatures in the 30s. We stayed at the Gloria Palace Hotel Amadores. A good hotel with an above average buffet and fair wine list but expensive. An uphill walk of about 800 metres to Europa Centre where our favourite bar was still there, The Biblos, looked like new, the same people running it. The Barbacoa had a new cocktail bar opposite but at 12 euros for two drinks expensive, only 10 euros back at hotel. Cheapest bar was Tiffany`s ( a welsh bar at the shopping centre) at 3.50 for two drinks, awful toilets though. We had a choice of two pools at the hotel top & bottom and four bars. A pint of Tropical was 3.50 here compared to 1.50 in Tiffany`s but I must say it was a better pint in the hotel. It was a 5 min. walk to Puerto Rico beach and 10 mins. to Amadores beach so the hotel was in a convenient situation. Would recommend hotel to anyone without walking difficulties.
